Bursaries
Several
bursaries
will be available for current GP Registrars to attend the RCGP
Annual Conference to be held at the Bournemouth International
Centre from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 October 2008. Criteria
and closing date:
31 July 2008.
Lord Darzi
Confirmed
Professor Lord Darzi of
Denham KBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health, will
give a Ministerial address on Thursday 2 October. This will
be followed by a discussion session with the RCGP Chair, Professor
Steve Field and an open Q&A session from the floor.
Fergus Walsh Confirmed as
Conference Chair
Fergus has been Science
Correspondent for BBC TV News for the past three years. Prior
to this he spent seven years as health correspondent. His current
role is “live in studio” during the 6 O’clock News. He is looking
forward to chairing all the plenary sessions and panel
debates.
